A Character Certificate (ગુજરાતી: ચારિત્ર્ય પ્રમાણ પત્ર — Charitra Praman Patra) is an official government document certifying that the applicant has no criminal record and is of good moral standing in their community. It is issued by the Mamlatdar, the taluka-level revenue officer and Executive Magistrate of the Government of Gujarat.
The certificate is digitally signed and available for download from digitalgujarat.gov.in after approval. Citizens can also apply offline at the nearest Mamlatdar office or Jan Seva Kendra (JSK).
