Ration Card Address Change in Gujarat
When you move from one address to another within Gujarat, you need to update your ration card with the new address. There are two scenarios:
- Same taluka / intra-district change: Apply directly for address change at digitalgujarat.gov.in or Mamlatdar office. Simple process with only new address proof required.
- Different taluka / inter-district migration: You must first get a Surrender Certificate from your old Taluka Supply Office/Mamlatdar, then apply for a new/transferred ration card at the new location. This is also available on the Digital Gujarat Portal under the Ration Card correction/migration service.

How to Apply
Log in to Digital Gujarat Portal
Go to digitalgujarat.gov.in → Citizen Login → log in with your credentials.
Citizen Services → Change Address in Ration Card
Click the Service tab → Citizen Services → select Change Address in Ration Card from the Ration Card section.
Fill form, upload documents & submit
Fill all required details carefully. Upload required documents. Click Submit. Note the application reference number and track status via your dashboard.

Fill new address details, upload new address proof (Aadhaar with new address / utility bill / rental agreement), existing ration card copy, Aadhaar Card, and photo. For inter-district migration, surrender the old ration card at the old Taluka Supply Office and get a Surrender Certificate first.

A Surrender Certificate (also called Deletion/Surrender form) is issued by your old Taluka Mamlatdar / Supply Officer when you want to transfer your ration card from one taluka or district to another. You must first submit this to your old supply office and get the certificate, then apply for a new ration card or address change at the new location.
