All Documents | Master Checklist
Every document you may need for any Digital Gujarat Scholarship. Required documents are marked with a teal border; conditional documents with a gold border.

Your Aadhaar card (12-digit number) must be seeded (linked) to your bank account. Without this linkage, the scholarship amount cannot be transferred via DBT. Upload the front side of the Aadhaar card.
Income Certificate
Official certificate showing your family's annual income, issued by the Mamlatdar or Talati of your district. Must reflect total family income (all earning members combined). Must be current, ideally issued within the last 12 months.
Domicile / Residence Certificate
Proof that you are a permanent resident of Gujarat, issued by the Mamlatdar of your district. This is non-negotiable, students from other states cannot apply. Ensure the certificate is valid and not expired.

Admission / Fee Receipt (Current Year)
The official fee receipt issued by your institution for the current academic year (2025–26). Must show your name, course, institution, and total fees paid. This is used to verify your enrollment and calculate scholarship amount.
Bank Passbook (First Page)
The first page of your bank passbook showing your full name, account number, IFSC code, branch, and bank name. The account must be in your own name (not a parent's account). Must be Aadhaar-linked for DBT.
Passport-Size Photograph
A recent passport-size photo with a plain (white or light-coloured) background. The photo should clearly show your face. Take it in good lighting to keep the file size small. Accepted format: JPG.
Caste / Category Certificate
For SC, ST, OBC, SEBC, NTDNT students: a valid caste certificate issued by the competent government authority (SDM / Mamlatdar). For OBC students, a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate is also required. For Minority students: a community/religion certificate.

Official document from your college or polytechnic showing the complete fee breakup for your course and year. This is used to calculate the exact scholarship amount. Must be on institution letterhead with a seal.
Bonafide / Enrollment Certificate
A certificate from your institution confirming that you are a currently enrolled, full-time student in the stated course. Also called a bonafide certificate. Must be for the current academic year (2025–26).
Hostel Certificate
Required only if you reside in a recognised hostel as part of your studies. Issued by the hostel warden or institution. This enables the hostel/mess allowance component of certain scholarships. Not needed if you are a day scholar.
Gap Affidavit
Required if there is a gap of one year or more between completing your last education and the current enrollment. The affidavit must be on a stamp paper and signed before a notary or judicial magistrate, explaining the reason for the gap.
How to Prepare Your Documents for Upload
The most common reason for application failure is files that are too large or not readable. Follow these steps.
For PDF Documents
If your PDF is over 200 KB (most scanned PDFs are 500 KB–2 MB), compress it before uploading.
Use: ilovepdf.com → Compress PDF
Free tool, no registration needed. Works on mobile browser.
For JPG Photos
Camera photos are usually 2–5 MB. Compress to under 200 KB before uploading.
Use: compressjpeg.com or resize to 600×800px
Or use your phone's Edit → Resize function.
Scanning on Mobile
Use your phone camera in good natural light. Place documents on a flat, dark surface for best contrast.
App: Adobe Scan or CamScanner (free)
These apps auto-crop and enhance documents.
Before Uploading | Check
Open every file on your device before uploading. Verify: all text is readable, no part is cut off, the file is under 200 KB.
File size check: WhatsApp → Share → shows KB
Blurry files are the #1 reason for document rejection.
